the wine & truffle company, manjimup

short order review

cafe, cellar door, truffleterie
"Manji" is moving away from it's bogan image of duffle coats and desert boots.  It is now firmly planted on the world stage as one of the premier truffle producing areas, taking it up to the French in their own game.  As we are both vegan and Tom hates mushrooms, we weren't in the market for a gourmet truffle infused lunch.  However we spent a pleasant hour over quality Yahava coffee watching a young truffle dog get his nose in for a future of snuffling around under the oak trees.

The range of gourmet truffle products are available for tasting and the mustard and olive oil are superb. If you are in the mood for a unique winter experience, join the sniffer dogs on a truffle hunt, every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday in July and August.
